Open to singers and instrumentalists of all ages and skill levels, our ministry is rooted in prayer, community, and a shared love for praising God.  Whether leading hymns at Mass, preparing for holy days, or participating in special events, we joyfully serve as vessels of God’s message through melody and harmony.

The Men’s Fellowship is committed to building a strong and supportive community where men are encouraged to grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially.   Whether through fellowship, mentorship, discipleship opportunities, service projects, or weekend retreats, we’re about creating a space where men can be real, be challenged, and be transformed.  We strive to uplift and challenge one another to become faithful husbands, devoted fathers, loyal friends, and principled leaders.

The Women’s Ministry is a Christ-centered community where women are encouraged, equipped, and empowered to grow in faith and fulfill their God-given purpose.  Through prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and service, we seek to nurture spiritual, emotional, and relational growth across all stages of life.

We are committed to creating a supportive sisterhood where every woman can discover her gifts, deepen her relationship with God, and live as a bold witness to His love—within the church, the family, and the world.

Our Youth Ministry is a vibrant community where middle and high school students can encounter God, grow in their faith, build lasting friendships and feel a deep sense of belonging within the church community.  

Through monthly gatherings, engaging discussions, spiritual, emotional and social development support,  service projects, and unforgettable events, we create a safe and supportive space for young people – empowering them to explore who they are,  who God is calling them to be, walking confidently with God, and living as active members of the Body of Christ – all while having a lot of fun along the way.

Taking the Gospel Beyond the Walls

The Street Disciple Ministry is committed to love and serve our neighbors experiencing street homelessness by building relationships rooted in trust, dignity, and support.  We are committed to meeting people where they are — on sidewalks, in neighborhoods, and throughout our city.  Through prayer walks, community outreach, one-on-one conversations, and acts of kindness, we serve as Christ’s hands and feet in places that need His light most.  When they are hungry, we offer food.  When they thirst, we provide drink.  When personal items are needed, we meet that need with care.

We are everyday believers with a heart for reaching the streets, carrying the message of hope, healing, and salvation through Jesus Christ.

Above all, we seek to uplift each person through the message of the Gospel, reminding every neighbor that they are not forgotten, not forsaken, and are deeply loved by Jesus.  In every encounter, we encourage hope, nurture faith, and extend the heart of Christ beyond the church walls and into the streets.

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA) invite women of all ages to grow in spirituality, deepen friendships, and serve their communities with purpose and grace. The Saint Vincent de Paul Society is a lay Catholic organization dedicated to living the Gospel through personal service to those in need. Inspired by the compassion of Saint Vincent de Paul, we work quietly and humbly to bring hope, comfort, and assistance to individuals and families facing hardship in our community.

Through confidential outreach, home visits, food and clothing drives, emergency assistance, and community partnerships, we serve with dignity and respect — always seeing the face of Christ in our neighbors.  Rooted in prayer and strengthened by fellowship, we strive to grow spiritually while responding to God’s call to love in action.

Called, Formed, and Sent

In response to the call from Pope Francis and Archbishop William Lori to cultivate a Church of missionary disciples, Saint Ambrose proudly became the first parish in the Archdiocese of Baltimore to launch this transformative ministry.

Our Missionary Discipleship Program offers adult faith formation designed to equip parishioners with the knowledge, confidence, and spiritual support to joyfully share the Gospel — within the parish and throughout the wider community.

Through study, prayer, and active witness, participants are encouraged to live out Christ’s command: “Go ye and make disciples.”  This is more than a program — it’s a movement of faith-filled individuals ready to serve, speak, and shine with the love of Christ in everyday life.

Together, we are building a Church that doesn’t just welcome people in — but sends them out.

Our Bereavement Ministry walks tenderly with individuals and families who are grieving the loss of a loved one.  Rooted in the love and compassion of Christ, we offer a sacred space for healing — where sorrow is honored, memories are cherished, and no one journeys through grief alone.

Through prayerful support, compassionate outreach, and pastoral care, our ministry seeks to be a source of strength and consolation.  Whether through funeral hospitality, grief support groups, remembrance services, or simply being present, we accompany the bereaved with empathy and respect.

In the midst of loss, we hold fast to the promise of resurrection and the enduring hope we have in Christ.

Our Dance Ministry is a vibrant expression of praise that brings worship to life through the art of movement. Rooted in liturgical spirituality and guided by the Holy Spirit, we use dance as a sacred offering to glorify God, uplift the congregation, and deepen our collective worship experience.

We aim to communicate the love of Christ in powerful and creative ways.  This ministry welcomes individuals of all ages who desire to express their faith with passion, purpose, and grace — body, mind, and soul moving as one in service to the Lord.

We strive to bring the Word to life through sacred choreography that uplifts the congregation and invites deeper engagement with God’s presence.

We serve behind the scenes — but our impact reaches far and wide.  By blending technical skill with a servant’s heart, we ensure that every spoken word and every note sung brings people closer to God, both in person and online.  Our team welcomes volunteers who are passionate about media, eager to learn, and dedicated to helping others encounter Christ through technology.

Serving Christ in the Eucharist

The Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion serve the Church by assisting in the reverent distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ during the celebration of the Mass and, when needed, by bringing Holy Communion to those who are homebound, hospitalized, or residing in nursing care facilities. Through this sacred ministry, they extend Christ's presence to those gathered at the altar and to those unable to join the parish community in person.

Called to a life of prayer, reverence, and faithful witness, Extraordinary Ministers approach this ministry with humility, recognizing the profound privilege of serving the Eucharist—the source and summit of our Catholic faith. Their service reflects Christ's compassion and strengthens the bonds of communion within our parish family.

Stewarding God's Gifts with Wisdom

The Finance Council serves the parish by providing thoughtful guidance and oversight of Saint Ambrose's financial resources. Working alongside the pastor, council members help ensure that the parish's finances are managed with integrity, transparency, and faithful stewardship in support of our mission.

Using their professional experience and commitment to the Church, members assist with budgeting, financial planning, and responsible resource management so that our parish can continue to grow, serve, and proclaim the Gospel for generations to come. Through careful stewardship, the Finance Council helps ensure that every gift entrusted to the parish is used wisely for the glory of God and the good of His people.

Cultivating Beauty for God's Glory

The Flowers & Grounds Ministry enhances the beauty of Saint Ambrose by caring for the church's flowers, gardens, and outdoor spaces throughout the year. Through their time, creativity, and dedication, volunteers help create a welcoming and peaceful environment that reflects the beauty of God's creation and honors the sacredness of our parish home.

Whether arranging seasonal flowers, maintaining garden beds, or caring for the church grounds, this ministry offers a meaningful opportunity to serve with your hands while glorifying God through beauty. Guiding the Mission, Shaping the Future

The Parish Mission Council serves as a prayerful and collaborative body dedicated to advancing the mission and vision of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church. Working closely with the pastor and parish leadership, council members listen to the needs of the parish, discern the movement of the Holy Spirit, and help foster initiatives that strengthen faith, build community, and support evangelization.

Grounded in prayer, stewardship, and servant leadership, the Parish Mission Council seeks to ensure that every ministry and every decision reflects our shared call to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples. Through thoughtful planning and faithful collaboration, we help shape a parish where all are welcomed, formed, and sent to live as witnesses of Christ.

Proclaiming God's Word

The Lector Ministry is entrusted with the sacred responsibility of proclaiming the Word of God during the celebration of the Mass. Through prayerful preparation, clear proclamation, and reverence for Scripture, lectors help the faithful hear God's voice and reflect more deeply on His message of salvation.

This ministry calls individuals who are committed to growing in their faith and sharing the richness of Sacred Scripture with the parish community. Whether reading at Sunday Mass, holy days, or other liturgical celebrations, lectors serve as instruments through whom God's living Word continues to speak to His people. Preparing the Lord's House

The Sacristan Ministry quietly serves behind the scenes to prepare everything needed for the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy. With reverence, care, and attention to detail, sacristans prepare the sacred vessels, vestments, altar, and worship space so that each Mass and liturgical celebration can be celebrated with dignity and beauty.

This ministry is one of faithful service, helping create an atmosphere where clergy, liturgical ministers, and the congregation can focus fully on worship. If you are organized, dependable, and have a deep love for the Eucharist and the sacred traditions of the Church, the Sacristan Ministry offers a meaningful way to serve God and His people.

Preparing Hearts for Worship

The Liturgy Committee works to foster beautiful, prayerful, and reverent celebrations of the Sacred Liturgy that draw the faithful into a deeper encounter with Christ. In collaboration with the pastor, clergy, musicians, and liturgical ministers, the committee helps plan and coordinate the liturgical life of the parish throughout the Church year.
