FIFTH GRADE

Dear Parents/Caregivers:

I am Ms. Gonzalez. I am very pleased to be working with your students this year.  The quality of education for your child is my main concern.   I will be teaching 4th grade math and religion, 5th grade math, religion and social studies, and 6th grade social studies.  It is my hope, that we all have a successful year and push our students to their highest potential.

This year the 4th and 5th graders will be attending JA Bizztown on November 3rd of this year.  We will be preparing for this very shortly.  The students will take an entire day and run a city.  This is a wonderful experience because the students learn many valuable economic and financial skills that they will value for the rest of their lives.  Mrs. Morsell and I will also be planning a trip for the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders during the Christmas to New York City to see the Christmas Spectacular at the Radio City Music Hall. This will prove to be a rewarding and wonderful experience. The information to this trip is being finalized and sent out as soon as possible.

Now that the all the classes are on the second floor, there is much to be expected of their academics and behavior.  Please work with me and your child, so that we can have a successful year together.

I will be holding coach classes once the after school program begins in Math.  If your child is having any problems in math, please let me know and have them attend the coach class. My email address is lorigonzalez@saintambrose.com.  Please feel free to send me an email if you have any questions.

                                                                                                  Sincerely,

                                                                                                 Mrs. Gonzalez
