Young Mothers Group

 

 

 

 

 

 

Purpose/Mission: To offer education and support to young teen mothers in the areas of Christian parenting. Referrals will be given as needed along with spiritual education in the Catholic faith.

 

Activities: Bi-weekly meetings, mentoring, parenting and life skills education, evangelism, fellowship

 

Volunteer Opportunities: Group member, mentors

 

Time: Every other Wednesday, 7:30-9:00PM; mentoring as arranged

 

Avg. Time Commitment: Participants: 3-5 hrs/month; Mentors, 6-8 hrs per month

 

Membership open to: Participants: teen mothers in parish and community; Mentors: members of parish or community

 

Training/Orientation: Teen moms go through needs assessment; mentors go through training.

 

Dues/Fees: No
